You will fly into Durango / La Plata , CO. We offer a pick up and drop off package of 150.00. Or you can rent a vehicle and drive to our staging area.

We encourage you to be in the best physical shape you can be for hunt in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Altitude sickness: Learn what it is, the symptoms, how to lessen your chances of being affected, and treatments. Altitude sickness can affect you even if you aren't venturing into Colorado's high country.

What To Bring On Your Colorado Big Game Hunt

*Game Bags for Large animals,   4 quarter game bag for either Elk or Deer

 *Coolers for Meat transport ask for Size requirements

 *Weight requirements for Pack Animals

 Underclothes for Layering (recommendations)

 Long underwear - regular or insulated

Wool socks - moisture wicking wool socks are best

Long sleeve t-shirts or light weight shirts preferably with pockets

Insulated jacket or vest - goose down insulation provides maximum warmth with the least weight and bulk


Camouflage Clothing (recommendations)

 Cargo pants - fleece or wool - WINDSTOPPER® fabric, GORE-TEX® fabric, and waterproof - preferably with many pockets

Hats - one warm fleece stocking cap and one fitted baseball-type hat

Gloves - one light pair, one heavy pair - wool, waterproof

Outer coat - heavy, wool, cotton, waterproof

Rain gear, parka, or shell to cover all outer layers - nylon or rubber - waterproof, not water-repellent or water-resistant

Comfortable pair of slip-on camp boots or shoes

Boots with good tread (2) pair - Hunting boot - waterproof, insulated, GORE-TEX®, 600-800 gram, 8" - 10" high - leather is best; Hiking boot - light, waterproof, insulated, GORE-TEX® material, 200- 400 gram, 6" - 8" high

Waterproof, breathable high gaiters (also known as alpine or expedition gaiters)


Personal Items (recommendations)

 Orange vest - Must have 500 square inches of solid daylight fluorescent orange or solid florescent pink material above the waist to wear while Hunting

Sleeping bag - down is lighter and warmer than synthetic - pack in a waterproof stuff sack
